Unix

• kdisplayMail uses the KDE notification system to display a passive message box
  
  


• displayMail: dialog box in tcl/tk
  
  


• newmailnotify: dialog box in tcl/tk which grows out of the bottom right corner of the desktop, just like the MSN popups
  
  

MacOSX

• iAlertNotify uses the iAlert notification system to display a passive message box
