Any chance external editor could be adapted to work with Postbox, the email client based on Thunderbird?

It is working with postbox.I found this url:http://webshelter.blogspot.com/2009/02/postbox-how-to-add-add-on-manager-to.htmland tried it with success.but... you\\'re right. it would be nice if the creator can make a postbox version.

I tried that with Postbox 3.0.4 and it doesn't work very well. You can get the extension loaded, but when you try to use it, the To and Cc fields become uneditable (kind of defeats the purpose). It does launch the external editor properly, so it seems to be pretty close to working.
I think some minor code changes will be needed to make this work with Postbox.

I would also like to see External Editor ported to Postbox. I would certainly donate to support this (and it seems appropriate since Postbox is a commercial piece of software).
