Cannot Pass the Password Page

Hi, I just installed v2.1. When I go to the site, I get the expected username and password login page. However, when I enter "admin" as both the username and password and click on login, I am immediately brought back to the same page. I get the same result when entering invalid usernames and passwords.
One item that may be of note: My OS X setup is a bit different than others. My home directory is in a non-standard location (/Volumes/Data/Users), although there are symlinks to the standardized location (/Users).
Any thoughts?

And what about clicking the "log as guest" link ?

| When I click "log in as a guest", I get the same result. I am returned to the login page. |

Well, I have no idea there.
I would just suggest yo investigate by changing your config to get it closer and closer to the standard Apple install (Site location as you said, maybe php, Apache config,?)...

| hit the refresh button on your browser... I sometimes need to do this... have not yet found out why |
