Hi,

the user cannot choose the compression level.
However, you, as wipha admin, can change the compression level once for all in the source code.
The current value is 6, change it from 0=no compression to 9=max compression.

In wipha/libs/photozip.php:

function PhotosZip($name, $doStream, &$downloadIds, &$photos, $library) {
$this->downloadIds = $downloadIds;
$this->photos = $photos;
$this->library = $library;
$this->zipper($name, 6, $doStream);
$importName = strftime("Web iPhoto Access Import (%d %b %Y, %H:%M:%S)");
$this->index = ' ------ INDEX ------'.NEWLINE.NEWLINE;

Thank you once again for all your input and help... that's awesome...

may i ask why you didn't include it as an option in the user interface to be able to select the compression level?

Thanks again

ps: i've also been trying to reply to you for a while but i wasn't able to post as i kept getting the message "stop spam"!

Hi,

I didn't add an option for this because:
  • all GUI additions are painful to handle.
  • images and video file formats are already compressed, and compressing them again doesn't change the final size soo much --> The compression level must have even less impact.

I'm sure it must be a real pain to handle that sort o stuff...

i apologize since what i actually was looking for was a way to be able to resize the pictures straight from the GUI... like you have in iphoto when you want to email it...

any change for that in a futur release?
