I'm running the latest wipha under 10.4.8 and latest iPhoto and I noticed that my main user has access to the global library folder even though I specifically unchecked it in the configuration for that user as admin. I'm not sure when this started but noticed it recently. I tried turning it on and applying and then turning it off and applying with no luck.

The wipha admin has obviously access the the entire library. Create an other user if you want to give restricted rights.

I have many users apart from admin. My problem is that a user who used to never have access to the library now does for some reason even though the checkbox is off! Now, if there was a way to delete users I could try and recreate a user as a first method to fixing this

Strange ! You can indeed delete this user by clicking the little red cross at the left of it's name in the admin page.

I've deleted a user and recreated them and it looks okay now
